A man has died after saving a woman by pushing her to safety from a falling elevator on New Year’s eve. Stephen Hewett-Brown was ascending in an elevator with several others, on his way to a party in a Manhattan Apartment building, when the elevator began to malfunction. Realizing that the elevator was about to fall, Stephen pushed a woman to safety and called out Happy New Year before being crushed by the elevator.

World’s Most Obese Man Dies After Weight-Loss Surgery

A man believed to be the world’s most obese passed away on Friday in Mexico, barely two months after undergoing a weight-loss surgery.
Andres Moreno, 38, died of a heart attack and peritonitis (inflammation of the abdominal lining) in Ciudad Obregon, in Sonora state, his family said.
Moreno, who at one time tipped the scales at 450 kilos, had bariatric surgery on October 28, in Guadalajara, Jalisco state, in hopes of shedding the excess weight and leading a normal life, Xinhua news agency reported.

Rajya Sabha of India passes Juvenile Justice Bill; Crimes will range in age from 16 years and up

Finally, on Tuesday Juvenile Justice Bill, a long-awaited bill, has been passed at Rajya Sabha, which concluded to try the accused that are above 16 years of age as an adult in the court of law. The bill, which was first introduced by Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi in August 2014, has already been passed in Lok Sabha. Maneka has thanked everyone for supporting the passage of the bill. The Indian parliament has passed a bill which allows juveniles between 16 and 18 years of age to be tried as adults for serious crimes like rape or murder.

What FBI chief needs Americans to think about Threats
FBI Director James Comey briefs the media on what U.S. natives ought to do to impede fear dangers in the nation. FBI James says that Americans do not let fear become disabling. That is what the terrorists want. They want you to imagine them in the shadows. They want you to imagine them as something greater than they are.
Instead, we hope that you will turn fear into healthy awareness of what’s around you. If you see something that gives you a bad feeling, tell somebody in Law Enforcement. Since September 11th we have really worked to get ourselves organized in such a way that if you walk up and tell any police officer in this country or any deputy sheriff in this country that you saw something, didn’t seem right, you heard something that didn’t seem right or you read something online that seemed off, that information will get to the right people immediately.
